Karaski and Peraküla
Soon there will be a Cowshed on the left and on the right side stays the Zirgu Farm (with the Hawk image on the Nameplate). At the roads fork we go left and walk until the crossroads where the Beehives are, and then we continue to go straight ahead. The Forest Road offers great curves and walking’s up and down.
Within an hour (we walked about 4 kilometers) we arrive from Krootuse to the KARASKI Village. At the Bus Stop we rest a bit, take a closer look the Nursing Home and hear from the old gentleman, who is walking along, about a good live in the Boarding House. The Village itself stays a little off our trail.
Now we going further down the road, where a little bit away looks a Karaski Põik Bus Stop. The next Bus Stop which we pass is Vanasaare, then comes the Peraküla Stop.
At the road fork, we take on the right and walk up the Hill. The fields stay to the left of the road and a shady forest to the right.
From a distance stand out the Vaatemäe Triangulation Tower. The Triangulation Masts or Observation Towers were built at a distance of about 15 km from each other, to provide eye-contact for observers. The towers where in use on the 1950s and 60s, but they were no more built. About 200 m from the Tower, our road crosses with the Old Postal Road and on the other side of the road is the Varbuse Music Manor. It is just over 4 km away from Karaski.
